Artisanal Shoji Screens in Westport

Allen is a phenomenally talented woodworker and when allowed artistic autonomy can create wonders. Capable of building contract work or commissioned custom pieces, Imoshen runs the gambit. Honest, hardworking, and great craftsmanship should be this company's slogan. I definitely recommend to all who are interested.

We have been working with Allen for three projects: our customized bookshelf, my office table and a matching display table, and our new kitchen cabinet (on going). Every time, the product that Allen made is more than my expectation. Allen's wood works (furnitures) are simply elegant and beautiful and bring the vitality of nature into our house. In addition, Allen is very engaging and responsive. He would listen to what we have in mind, measure the spaces carefully, and come up with a customized design. He is patient and works back and forth with us to get the best design and product. His installation is on time and painless. After knowing Allen, I started to appreciate the art of wood work. Every time when I use or walk through the furniture pieces that he made for us, I feel joyful. I would definitely ask Allen if I have other wood related project in the future.

Allen worked on installing a tearoom in my home using traditional Japanese woodworking techniques, and his expertise, professionalism, and quality work were off the charts. Hire him -- you won't be disappointed!

Allen built us a beautiful dining room table as well as custom shelving in a bedroom closet. He's kind, professional, and has a great eye for detail. We gave him a rough idea of what we wanted and what he came back with was nothing short of perfection. We can't recommend him enough.

I have purchased multiple pieces of furniture from Imoshen Studios. They have all been exceptional quality, and I look forward to having them stay in the family for many generations. Truly heirloom quality pieces of furniture. Allen is great to work with, understood my needs, and helped me realize what I wanted as well. I can’t recommend them enough.
